This story is an adaptation of the Oscar Wilde classic, “The Selfish Giant.” It takes place in Monet’s garden at Giverny, and describes his adventures as he learns to celebrate the spirit of sharing and the magic of children at play.
When Monet’s selfish gardener bans children from playing in the lush gardens, spring refuses to come and a harsh, tireless frost prevails. Monet, confused about why his beloved garden remains cold and lifeless, is depressed as he has nothing beautiful left to paint, until one day when he discovers a boy followed by children bring back the Spring to his garden.
