Story Description

Eight very special sticks of colored chalk transform blank sheets of paper into exciting stories that become quite real. Pieces of colored chalk draw a story about a boy stranded on an island and the turtle who rescues him. This app helps children learn colors, their role and also teaches children the spirit of team work. This app encourages child involvement in the story.

Don Freeman was born in San Diego, California, in 1908. He was introduced to the world of Children’s Literature when William Saroyan asked him to illustrate several books. Soon after, he began to write and illustrate his own books, a career he settled into comfortably and happily. Don died in 1978, after a long and successful career. He created many beloved characters in his lifetime, perhaps the most beloved among them a stuffed, overall-wearing bear, named Corduroy.
